Listening Process

An independent research programme seeking views from all members and stakeholders on a range of topics

In response to the results of the Extraordinary General Meeting held in March this year, and the request from members that their views and opinions are better heard and taken into account, Nominet put the Listening Process in place in April. This is being managed and operated by independent market research organisation Savanta, and it’s a major piece of research designed to capture insight from members and stakeholders and enhance collaboration between us all.

The Listening Process is just one step in a continual course of engagement with the wider Nominet community to help us continue to deliver the outstanding service we are relied upon to provide. All the outcomes of the Listening Process will be published and presented to the Board – and every piece of feedback will count towards the future of Nominet.

  • As a first step, Savanta ran a short poll of all Nominet members to understand their priority issues. You can view the results from this poll here.
  • The Listening Process Online Consultation phase has now closed. Nominet appointed independent research company Savanta to carry out this research, giving members, external stakeholders and staff the opportunity to have their say on the company, its purpose and the changes we can make to move forward. Savanta’s findings will be presented to the Board and published by Nominet.
  • The research will be completed within a few weeks; Savanta’s findings will be presented to Board and published by Nominet.
