Our new .UK Registrar Agreement, as published in January, has been introduced today.
The new agreement offers a framework that recognises the diversity of registrar business models and outlines higher standards.
From today, registrars can apply for self-managed and accredited channel partner tags, or submit information to remain a channel partner. We will provide support for registrars in selecting the most appropriate tag types for their needs and to help ensure that the necessary additional information is provided.
A compliance programme will also begin to ensure registrars are meeting their obligations under the new agreement, with reviews taking place from September 2014.
