Nominet has appointed Simon Whitburn as Senior Vice President Cyber Security Services to lead its Cyber Security Services team. Simon will develop the sales strategy and new market focus as it expands globally and broadens its suite of cyber services, building on Nominet’s heritage of DNS expertise.
Simon brings his extensive sales and channel expertise at global board level in the security software industry with both government and commercial clients across developed and developing markets. Simon joins Nominet from Cognosec Europe, where as Sales Director he successfully established a new security solution and managed service VAR in key European markets.

Nominet’s DNS Cyber Security Services team monitors, analyses and supports responses to security incidents across client networks as part of their overall security solution. The service incorporates Nominet’s purpose-built DNS analytics turing platform, which monitors and ingests up to one million security and network events per second to support its threat mitigation.
