Nominet seeks school leavers for 2014 apprenticeships

6th March 2014

Nominet has opened its apprentice scheme for applications and is looking to fill technical roles offering high quality external learning and on-the-job training right at the heart of the business responsible for the smooth and secure running of the .uk internet infrastructure.

Lasting between 12 and 14 months, the scheme aims to encourage more young people into online and technology-focused roles at a time when there is a clear shortage of relevant skills and talent across the industry.

The apprentices will work alongside technical teams, a line manager, and a workplace mentor on real-world projects that are part of everyday operations at Nominet.  The apprenticeships, in development and infrastructure, are assessed on a mixture of modular examinations and workplace assessment. Based in the Oxford Science Park, Nominet apprenticeships are ideal for school leavers considering an internet career.
