Sally Tilleray and Patsy Wilkinson to join Nominet board

7th July 2022

Nominet has announced two new appointments to the Nominet board, Sally Tilleray and Patsy Wilkinson CB.

Sally Tilleray is a qualified accountant and associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.  She has held a range of senior finance positions, primarily in the technology and marketing service sectors, including Group COO and CFO at Huntsworth plc and CFO Europe of NASDAQ listed Predictive Inc. Sally has a portfolio of non-executive director roles: she chairs digital agency UNRVLD and is on the board of three AIM listed businesses.

Sally will join Nominet on 1st August, and will Chair the Audit and Risk Committee.

Commenting on her appointment, Sally said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Nominet board at an important time, as the company seeks to expand its contribution to the wider world while continuing to deliver for everyone who depends on its services. I look forward to working on the opportunities – and the challenges – that lie ahead.”

Patsy Wilkinson CB is an experienced non-executive director and former senior civil servant. Committed to public service, she focused on national security and protecting the public during her career in government. She was the Director of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) and played a key role in delivering a safe and secure London Olympics.  She led work on data, digital transformation, leadership development, talent, and diversity and inclusion.  Patsy is a Trustee at the Royal British Legion and the National Memorial Arboretum; a strategic adviser to cybersecurity company Immersive Labs; and an Honorary Fellow at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.

Patsy will join Nominet after our AGM on 6th October.

Patsy Wilkinson said: “Nominet is committed to operating in the public interest and plays a vital role in the internet infrastructure as the national registry and through its work in cybersecurity. It’s a unique combination, and I’m very much looking forward to joining later this year.”

Chair Andy Green, CBE, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to attract directors of such high calibre to Nominet.  I look forward to working with Sally and Patsy, whose experience and insight will be a valuable asset as we take the organisation forward.”

The appointments will replace outgoing directors Rob Binns and Stephen Page.  Rob will step down on 31st July and Stephen will conclude his term at this year’s AGM.
