At Nominet we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can develop and grow personally and professionally.
We believe that development is something that each person owns and drives for themselves. You are the best person to understand your development goals and ambitions, as well as what you might need to do to operate at your best both now and in the future.
We enjoy a broad range of tools and resources to support your development, across a range of circumstances including;
Identifying and creating your personal development plan
Technical resources
Core skills to be more effective in your current role
Best practice Management and Leadership skills
We know you are an individual and learning isn’t one size fits all. So should our resources internally not meet your specific development ambitions, you may be able to access learning externally. Whether that be a professional qualification or specific technical training that Nominet would look to support you with.
You’ll choose us for the job description, but we hope you’ll stay for the development of your career and skills. All we ask from you is a willingness to push yourself forward and take ownership of your pathway.

For the majority of roles you will experience an interview with one of our Talent Acquisition Team, which is recorded, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Depending on the role there may also be technical tests or a follow up interview with a senior member of the department.
The recruitment team welcomes your contact throughout the process. We’re human beings and we want to help you through this, because applying for jobs can be gruelling. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any questions.
We would love to be able to offer work experience or summer placements, however unfortunately we don’t have any work experience opportunities at Nominet right now. Should we be able to in the future we will likely share it on LinkedIn – follow us on LinkedIn here.
In most cases our interview will include some questions to verify your work history and competency for the role.

For all roles we assess candidates against our values and how we work at Nominet. Keep these in mind when preparing for your interview. Learn more about our values.
All our employees will be subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check upon joining the organisation, regardless of role. This is due to the rise of the number of people with access to the Public Services Network (PSN) connected networks, the BPSS has become an essential tool in government services recruiting. We will process and pay for this on your behalf when you join us.
You can find out more about BPSS checks and what is required as part of this.
There are some specific roles that require Security Clearance, but our Talent Acquisition Team will inform you if that’s the case.
Yes.
We have a hybrid working culture: some staff work in the office, some remotely, and some do a bit of both. We are sure how we all work will evolve as restrictions relax.
Should you be successful in joining the Nominet team, we do encourage new joiners to visit the office during induction to get a feel for our home.
Speak to your Talent Acquisition Partner about remote working.
